the winter comes...

Before I start about the wintertime, please allow me to share few blogers and designers that I found these days.
1. a Japanese designer and bloger Tricotin, where she puts on many super lovely projects. But the blog is on French and Japanese. I don't speak any French, nor did I learn any Japanese. My Chinese can only help tiny bit...

2. a Korean designer. Jean Chung Design
I just love the white wedding dress!!

3. the third one I just found in the internet. It is a Knit & Crochet cafe. What unbelievable is: it is right next to Ewha Womans Unviersity!!! I lived and studied there for three years and didn't get a chance! It is sooooooooo lovely and perfect!
It just enhances my willing for visit Korea for another time soon!
The Winter Comes

Since 28th October, it changed to winter-time. The weather has been good on weekends. We have been out to cherish the treature of autumn as much as we can.

Water! All kinds of water! That's what we want to see!
A beach not far from Kiel, the Alster lake and the Elbe river. Within a distance of 200 km from home is the circle we can get.

If there was a perfect season to read Murakami, I would say it should be autumn. We finished one of his books--while I was knitting and crocheting, my husband read me the book from time to time.

I have been also busy at finishing my list of Christmas gifts and decorations, as well as some light accessaries for our winer trip^^

WIP-Golden October

I am back to WIP!

Last weekend we went to a friend's Wedding. I was excited all the time to watch my first German wedding from the very beginning until the very end (except my own, which could be said to be not so German^^). The bride was so beautiful, that I could just look at her all the time...

Here is a tiny little gift I crocheted for them: (They gave us last year such a special special gift for our wedding, I don't think I could ever made something similarly nice...)

Here is I outside of the church after the church ceremony::P
The weather was really nice. Perfect for a perfect wedding! So we took another little tour on Sunday, the day after the wedding day. It would have been just a huge waste, not to enjoy the golden Autumn when the sun shines.
The couple invited a friend of the bride to host the ceremony, who just became a priest not long ago. I have to say, the tissue they prepared for the guests for "joyful tears" were so useful.
J got me two books from the city library:
One is about knitting socks.
Another one is about the history of the neighbourhood where we live. There are many stories that I didn't know about. We decide to visit all the sercret parts of this neighbourhood where I haven't been to.

I finished "Night and Day" from Virginia Woolf two weeks ago. Besides the book from Bernhard with help of my husband, I have no English or Chinese book to read. Since we started a long-term discussion with a Japanese friend about almost all of the works from Haruki Murakami, I decided to read "Norwegian Wood" and "What I Talk about When I Talk about Running" for the hundredth time--They are just TOO GOOD!!

The weather forecast said that this Thursday and Friday will be "the Golden October" days. So just dress up and go to hug the nature (after work...)!! Don't miss the autumn's beauty. (I love the autumn in Hamburg.) I made this yummy mummy wristwarmers (link in Ravelry) to accompany our little trips in Golden October:

Wish you enjoy the golden days, too!

WIP-It is Show Time

I have been waiting for a good-weather-day to post the Angora Scarf and the Crochet Lace Top

Finally we managed it to catch the good weather, like for 10 minutes...

Back to the main topic today: WIP:

I am working on a new shawl which would match one of my dress.

I am so looking forward to finishing it. So I can finally start to do something with the lovely lovely yarn I got as a gift. I also want to knit some new socks as X'Mas gift--I have to finish them before December--before we leave for 3 weeks!! Besides, I also HAVE TO crochet sth small for the coming wedding of a friend!
It should be my full-time job to crochet.

After J got my Sweet lace shawl as a gift, she wants to knit one scarf for her boyfriend, too. We got some fresh super warm yarn from Isemarkt--which is said to be the langest open-air market in Europe. We planned to have a knit-in-and-cook-in party tonight by their appartment. The girls are going to knit and the guys are going to cook, plus some chess and chinese chess and only available for four weeks "Federweisser" "wein"...Happy German National Day (and late happy Chinese Mid-Autumn Day + Chinese National Day holiday !)
